The Fullbright Company’s Gone Home was one of those games that I didn’t end up playing simply because it was only on PC and my computer has seen better days. I figured I would just be able to wait it out until the console version was released. It looks like I’m out of luck on that front. In an interview with Dualshockers, the company revealed that the console version of Gone Home as been cancelled.
The reason for this cancellation relates to the death of Majesco’s Midnight City label, a publishing arm that brought indie games to the market. When the Midnight City label went under and had to fire staff, so did the games underneath it. This included the console ports of Gone Home.
Don’t fret, though. This just means that Fullbright is going to have more resources to put to their next game, Tacoma.
