People were skeptical when Bethesda released a reboot of Wolfenstein, but things went far better than expected. As it turns out, the game was received really well. That’s why it’s no surprise that they plan on building upon that success with the release of another Wolfenstein game. Today, Bethesda announced a standalone prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order titled Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
Not much was actually revealed about the game besides the following trailer and a release date.
The trailer was pretty cool if you ask me. I liked the goofy tone of the commentary and the interesting looking guns. As someone who didn’t play the first game, this trailer has me wanting to go back and try it out before The Old Blood hits shelves on May 5th for PC, Xbox One and PS4 (which is incredibly short notice, but I’m not complaining).
Gameplay is set to be revealed at PAX East this weekend on March 6th and March 7th.
