Heart Forth, Alicia was one of the more promising looking Kickstarter campaigns in recent memory. After it’s campaign mid last year, it seemingly went quiet. Today, the game reappeared with the announcement of its attendance at GDC under the wing of Sony, and that the game will be coming to PS4 and Playstation Vita.

Since it’s Kickstarter campaign, the game has evolved quite a bit. Starting as a solo project for Alonso Martin, the game eventually became a much larger project, even bringing aboard the skills of Mighty No. 9 and Shovel Knight composer Manami Matsumae. The new imagery shown off looks incredible and can be seen on his Playstation Blog post.

The game itself is an ambition love letter to classic adventure games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy VII. With a vast, magical world, Heart Forth, Alicia is a metroidvania with deep RPG elements.
