Square Enix has been extremely vague when it comes to any sort of information regarding Kingdom Hearts 3. This stands true when referencing new worlds, any plot details and most devastating of all, a window of release. Regardless of how vague Square Enix has been, Goofy seems to think that the game could come as early as 2015.

Bill Farmer has voiced Goofy in both Kingdom Hearts and various cartoons for quite a while now. He claims that as far as he has been told, Kingdom Hearts 3 is due out later this year. He also claims that voice recording is already done. This information was revealed through a series of Tweets, which can be viewed here (They may have been deleted by the time of posting).

It’s very possible that Bill Farmer could be totally out of his mind, but for some reason that sounds unlikely to me. It would make sense that voice recording is done, considering the fact that the developers just switched over to a new engine. With the time lapse between Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3, it’s reasonable to think that voice recording has been finished and all that’s left is to switch and develop with Unreal Engine 4. This process could also take less time than we thought, leading to a 2015 release. There’s no way of knowing for sure, though.

As of now, this should be taken with a grain of salt. I’m sure when Square Enix wants us to know when Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming, they will let us know. Until then, I’ll just sit in the corner and cry with Kingdom Hearts 2…
