It’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season at the moment. Not only have we had a pretty damn good cartoon going on for a couple years but we have a new film on the way soon (which I wanna’ see; don’t judge me!). With all these turtles, it would seem it’s time for another TMNT game as well.
Activision announced today that a new TMNT video game, to be based off of the upcoming Liebesman film, will be on its way to the Nintendo 3DS around the release of the upcoming film. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as it is being called, will be a third-person hack n’ slash/beat em’ up style game that take place in the film world. Playing as Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo –all of which can be changed on the fly like the original NES game– you’ll face off against Baxter Stockman and new mutant army he has concocted along with various Foot soldiers.
As you progress through the game, you’ll be able to upgrade the Turtles in ways such as new weapons, stats and abilities.
This TMNT game will be developed by Magic Pockets (who developed a game based on the current cartoon) instead of Red Fly Studio (who developed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows).
