If you’re a gamer like me than you either a). don’t have the best PC for gaming or b). just don’t care that much about PC gaming (I am the former). Mighty No. 9, the upcoming platforming-action title by Keiji Inafune and his company Comcept, was already coming out to PC and eventually reached Mac and Linux by a stretch goal. I’ve been hoping for a console release of the game and now we have that.
Either overnight or sometime today (I wasn’t paying attention), Mighty No. 9 managed to clear its sixth stretch goal which would bring the title to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U upon its release. The other five goals that funding helped the game clear were two extra bosses/stages, the Mac/Linux versions, New Game+ and Turbo Mode, a documentary, and Boss Rush mode. After this current goal, the game now has to make two hundred thousand more to gain Challenge Mode.
Also, now that the game has reached a wide variety of consoles, if you pushed $20 or more toward the funding, you’ll be able to get a digital copy of the game for your console of choice.
I’m excited that I’ll finally be able to play the game on my PS3 when the time comes. I’m kind of hoping that the game’s funding will at least reach the extra end stage and boss goal, but the funding is been quite slow lately. With two weeks to go, we may only see the acquisition of Challenge Mode. Still, it’s been one impressive run for this game and we still have two weeks to go.
