Son of Nor is a third-person action game that allows you to cast a variety of terraforming and physics-based spells in a “dynamic desert world.” Still not convinced? How about this; you can telekinetically roast carrots. What more could you want?

A recently started Kickstarter project, Son of Nor is being developed by StillAlive studios as a single-player and co-op title for PC, Mac and Linux. A promising and ambitious attempt to give players force-like magic powers and allow them to unleash the spells within highly interactive environments, Son of Nor will also include platforming and puzzle elements that will require involved use of the powers in creative ways.

To top is all off, Son of Nor is to have a rich story and lore surrounding its desert world of Noshrac. A member of The Edge, a group of the last surviving humans after a devastating war, your character is gifted with the powers of the night goddess Nor, able to control the elements of fire, wind and essence. The game will have a minimalist HUD in order to be as immersive as possible.

At the time of writing, the game has attained around $44,000 of its $150,00 stretch goal. There are a plethora of funding options and reward tiers, so if you’re interested, head to the Kickstarter page here and help out.
